At 605 Media & Entertainment, we specialize in creating interview-based corporate videos — also known as talking head videos, brand videos, or documentary-style branded content. These are some of the most effective tools for building trust, communicating your brand’s story, and connecting with your audience on a human level.
Whether you need an executive message, a team spotlight, or a client testimonial, we craft polished, emotionally engaging content that helps your brand stand out.
Based in the Black Hills of South Dakota, we serve Rapid City, Spearfish, Sturgis, Deadwood, and beyond — providing full-service corporate video production for brands, businesses, and organizations of all sizes.
“Talking head” or interview-style videos feature real people — team members, customers, or leadership — sharing their stories directly on camera. These videos create an immediate sense of authenticity and trust, allowing your audience to hear your message straight from the source.
They’re ideal for:
Brand overview videos
Client testimonials and case studies
Recruitment and culture features
Founder or leadership messages
Internal communication and training
People trust people. Hearing from real employees, leaders, or satisfied clients adds credibility and emotional depth that traditional ads can’t match.
When viewers see and hear genuine stories, they feel more confident in your business — whether you’re promoting a product, service, or workplace culture.
Interview-based videos allow for natural, thoughtful explanations of your brand’s purpose, services, and differentiators — in your own words.
Story-driven video content is memorable because it focuses on the people and purpose behind your company, not just the product or service.
We handle every step of the process — from initial concept through final delivery — ensuring your video looks professional, feels genuine, and aligns perfectly with your brand.
We start by learning your goals, audience, and message. Together, we define what success looks like — whether that’s increasing brand awareness, boosting recruitment, or strengthening community engagement.
We craft thoughtful interview questions, identify key messages, and plan a structure that supports your brand narrative.
Our experienced crew creates a relaxed, natural interview environment. With professional lighting, audio, and cinematography, we capture both personality and polish.
From dynamic cuts to color grading and branded graphics, we refine every detail to ensure the final product feels cinematic, professional, and built for your platforms — whether that’s your website, YouTube, LinkedIn, or internal channels.
We create video packages designed for today’s content landscape:
Full-length brand stories for websites and presentations
Short-form social clips optimized for Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
Paid ad deliverables designed for Facebook, YouTube, and OTT platforms
Internal communication videos for employees or training
Our goal is to make your content versatile and impactful — wherever your audience is watching.
At 605 Media & Entertainment, we’re not just videographers — we’re storytellers. We combine cinematic visuals, strategic messaging, and authentic emotion to create content that truly connects.
Our team is based in Spearfish, South Dakota, and proudly serves businesses across the Black Hills region including Rapid City, Sturgis, and Deadwood. From small businesses to large corporations, we bring professionalism, creativity, and local expertise to every project.
When you work with us, you’re not just getting a video — you’re getting a piece of content built to last, designed to inspire, and tailored to your brand’s identity and goals.
Whether you’re looking to showcase your brand, highlight your team, or build trust through authentic storytelling, we’d love to help bring your vision to life.

Big Bear Performance, a California-based leader in motorcycle innovation, approached us at 605 Media & Entertainment to document a pivotal moment in their journey. At the 2024 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally—the largest motorcycle event in the world—they unveiled their latest product: cutting-edge Rear Shocks designed for Harley-Davidsons.
Understanding the significance of this launch, we collaborated with owners Kevin and Mona to craft a compelling 2-4 minute video concept. This dynamic brand awareness piece would not only highlight their active participation in the rally but also emphasize the innovation behind their new product. Central to this project was an in-depth interview with Kevin, diving into what sets Big Bear Performance apart, their inspiration behind the Rear Shocks, and how this advancement impacts the motorcycle community.
In addition to the interview, we captured authentic, raw moments at the rally, showcasing Big Bear Performance’s connection with motorcyclists, testimonials from riders, and their dedication to the community. To further enhance their brand presence, we provided a comprehensive photo package, including product photography, portraits, and event imagery for use across social media, their website, and advertisements.
The Final Deliverables
Our two-day shoot with a three-person crew resulted in a suite of content tailored to Big Bear Performance’s needs:
Brand & Product Launch Video: A timeless piece designed to build awareness among new clients and inform existing customers about their latest innovation.
Photo Gallery: High-quality images capturing the essence of their brand, including product shots, team portraits, and their community involvement.
Documentary-Style Video Clips: Over 30 short videos featuring rider testimonials, customer interactions, and insights into motorcycle suspensions, performance, and Big Bear’s unique offerings.
The project was executed by Destyn Humann as Director and DP, Jaycen Tichi as Sound Engineer and Boom Operator, and Landin Burke as Photographer. Together, we created content that not only documents Big Bear Performance’s achievements but also solidifies their reputation as industry leaders.
This collaboration underscores our commitment at 605 Media & Entertainment to crafting impactful stories that elevate brands and tell their story.

Producing film projects in the Black Hills and Rapid City areas of South Dakota comes with unique challenges, especially when it comes to finding local crew. While the region may not have the abundance of film professionals like you’d see in larger cities, areas like Pine Ridge, Eagle Butte, Sturgis, Deadwood, and Spearfish are home to a select group of experienced and highly talented individuals. The best part? You don’t always need to bring in crew from outside the area to achieve professional results.
In this blog post, we highlight our top picks for local professionals—exceptionally talented individuals who rival the expertise you'd find in larger cities. These are the go-to crew members we trust and hire time and time again for countless projects.
When it comes to grip, gaffer, and electrical needs, having Tracy Mailloux of Gator Grip and Lighting based in Rapid City is an incredible asset to the Black Hills region. With over 20 years of experience, three fully equipped grip trucks, and nearly every G&E and lighting tool imaginable, Tracy is an indispensable resource. We make it a priority to hire Tracy for as many projects as possible and frequently rely on his gear rentals. Tracy’s expertise extends well beyond the Black Hills—he’s worked on major feature films and commercial projects, including collaborations with the NBA, NHL, and NFL. For a full list of gear or to contact Tracy, visit Gator Grip and Lighting Rentals.
If you’re looking for a skilled cinematographer/DP or 1st AC, we highly recommend our own Destyn Humann. As a 1st AC, Destyn is highly proficient with Sony, Arri, RED, and Canon camera systems, excelling in camera builds and focus pulling.
You can view Destyn’s work at destynhumann.com and contact him directly at 605-210-0314 or Destynx@live.com.
When it comes to unmatched knowledge, experience, and expertise in sound, Jaycen Tichi is the clear choice. Need a vast selection of LAVs, including Zaxcom? He’s got you covered. Digital slate? Kelsey Spratt Photography and I (Destyn Humann) have teamed up to create a special deal, offering a $500 discount on each of our packages. Why did we do this? Because we're a dream team. We work together seamlessly, sharing similar styles, and forming a fantastic stress-free team on the wedding day. The creativity that sparks between us is unmatched.
I love working with Kelsey. Whenever I'm at a wedding day and you're working it, there's just so much less stress because I'm not trying to get to know you, I'm not trying to communicate with you. We just have this in-sync synergy thing going, and we work so well together. There's creativity, there's a lot of positive energy. Anytime I'm working a wedding with you, it usually ends up being such a smooth and awesome day. Not only does it bring a lot of stress down for me, but it also adds to the creativity of working on a wedding day. I believe couples end up having an even better time because they can see and feel our positive energy together. There's no drama or conflict, and things just run smoothly. So, putting together this deal package, I hope it will have us working together a little bit more. It gives couples the chance to have a dream team and experience a stress-free wedding day.

Hi, my name is Destyn & I LOVE capturing and creating wedding films. Being able to tell a personal story about two people and their day— the emotion, excitement and passion they share, is an incredible honor. Creating timeless & authentic wedding films is what separates me from the rest. After sending a finished video to a couple, I want them to say, "That was us. That was our day." And I want the video to stand the test of time-- not a video that feels trendy. I want the video to give couples the same emotion, excitement and feelings they had during those special moments.
Book with Kelsey and 605 Media & Entertainment and receive $1000 off ($500 each package).
Join Kelsey and me as we sit down for an insightful podcast episode, delving into a range of wedding topics. After a life-changing facial injury, Stoney Kilmer was told he'd never work, eat hard food or fight in the ring again. Stoney went on to compete in 105 matches (98-7) as well as coach five ringside world champions, the #1 & #2 female boxers in the United States, and the first in South Dakota to coach a gold medalist.
Now 48 years old and ready for his next match, the athletic commission stands in Stoney's way to disallow the fight. Nonetheless, Stoney challenges for his 99th win while simultaneously coaching and training with his opponent, Lucas Pierce.

The Barn at Aspen Acres in Spearfish, South Dakota is not only one of my favorite wedding venues in the Black Hills— but it also holds a very special place in my heart.
The Barn is where I got my start in wedding films. The owners, Tia & Dan, were the first wedding to happen at the venue, and willing to take a chance on me by allowing me to film their wedding in 2019. Since then, I’ve filmed countless weddings at The Barn, including 10 in 2021!
There are so many reasons I love this venue: It’s right outside of gorgeous, Spearfish, South Dakota— the heart of the Northern Hills. From the outside, you have a perfect view of Crow Peak (mountain) and the rest of the hills. When the sun sets, the beautiful green grass glows golden— giving the most amazing golden hour photos/videos!
On the inside, the Barn has plenty of space, gorgeous interiors and huge windows that let in a ton of light! The bridal suite is literally perfect for getting ready in with a ton of natural light and mirrors— and the staff are beyond friendly and accommodating for any need.
I know when filming at The Barn that my wedding film is going to be beautiful.
